One thing to keep in mind when it comes to Feng Shui House design is the necessity for having indoor air that is clean. In order to achieve and maintain good Chi, you must take steps to improve the quality of air in your home. The reasoning behind this is that the air you breathe inside your home is often times more harmful than the great outdoors.

Indoor pollution can be a huge problem when you are trying to employ good Feng Shui at your work place or at home. Trying to get the help of a Feng Shui consultant, using the Feng Shui Ba-Gua eight directional map and the Feng Shui compass won't help at all unless everything you can control in your home is at the best level for you, and that means cleaner air indoors. Luckily for you that there is quite a list of inside plants that make the grade for purifying the air in your home to achieve the best possible Chi.

Before you start trying to find a list of plants to help, you also need to know why they are needed. There are actually many pollutants indoors that are harmful known as volatile organic chemicals or VOCs. If your home has carpet, synthetic products, plastic and even some plywood types at home, these items slowly break down releasing the harmful VOCs. Some plants will do a great job at cleaning and purifying your air.

Here are a few of the plants for air purification that will be beneficial to your Feng Shui House:

1. Boston Fern - This beautiful plant is is great for removing formaldehyde and various other pollutants from the air. These plants are popular and will make your home beautiful; however, they will take a lot of care to live well.

2. Rubber Plant - This is another plant that is great for the indoors that will remove various types of pollutants, like formaldehyde. This is a hardy plant and can stand up against low light and temperatures on the cool side.

3. Peace Lily - This plant is quite popular in the spring, but be sure to grab a few of these pretty flowering plants that remove quite a bit of toxins from your indoor environment.

4. English Ivy - Formaldehyde can't stand up against English Ivy. This plant cleans the air and is simple to grow.

These plants work well for keeping the air clean. However, it's not a great idea for good Feng Shui to use them in the room you sleep in. A lot of energy flows through these plants, and when you're trying to sleep, this energy can be a distraction. You can use them in other parts of your home for good Feng Shui and air that is clean, just keep them out of your room where you sleep.
